Buy rocknrolla mugs, tshirts and magnets!

Photobucket So I really enjoy coming up with new expressions and appropriating foreign slang. For the last few years I have been using the words "mate" and "cheers" in my everyday conversation. Mostly unconsciously - and on more than a few occasions very self consciously. Now it could be I picked up this habit because I worked in a Pub among many Irish and English folks, or it could be that I'm just trying to fool people into thinking I'm. British. Draw whatever conclusion you wish. What I can say is I love British accents, especially the cockney accent. If I could perfect and adopt this accent I would, though I'm sure this might push the absurdity threshold.
A while ago I encountered an unfamiliar expression "Right Rocknrolla" in a movie entitled Rocknrolla by Guy Ritchie. The movie is an action comedy, not really memorable but funny at moments. A good time waster. I think I ought revisit it. Anyway during the movie they used the expression Right Rocknrolla and it stuck and so now I am saying it. Upon searching for a formal definition of the word in the urban dictionary I rediscovered a particularly funny quote from the Guy Ritchie movie:
noun.

Someone who's in it for the fucking lot.
"People ask the question... what's a RocknRolla? And I tell 'em - it's not about drugs, drums, and hospital drips, oh no. There's more there than that, my friend. We all like a bit of the good life - some the money, some the drugs, other the sex game, the glamour, or the fame. But a RocknRolla, oh, he's different. Why? Because a real RocknRolla wants the fucking lot." - Archie.

... The notion is cool. In any case the idea inspired this picture on some level, and I gotta say i've met some people who: "are in it for the fucking lot." and deserve to be acknowledged as Rocknrollas. The Rocknrolla philosophy as it were seems to be a relatively reasonable position to me. So anyway lets celebrate those we know who are here to bring the funk and commit to bringing a little more funk ourselves.
